Pentimenti

Pentimenti – an Italian term coming from the word meaning ‘repent.’ It can refer to the lines or marks which remain after an artist corrects their drawings or paintings. These photographs, taken in Rome over a period of a month, were inspired by the layers of torn and worn posters that dot the ancient city. Even though their primary function as a poster and a piece of communication had long since faded, their weathered layers of tattered and torn paper, revealed another meaning in a new light.Click here to see a preview of the book.
